31.10.-07.11.15: Confused By Being Confused – Roberto Ronzani

In CONFUSED BY BEING CONFUSED, Roberto Ronzani presents an installation of paintings, sketches and objects that were created by the artist while dealing with his own pubertal confusion, adolescence and coming-of-age.
In his work, the artist Roberto Ronzani (Basel, *1998), deals with himself and his direct physical and virtual surroundings. In doing so, topics such as the above mentioned pubertal confusion, adolescence arise, with everything that it might insinuate: teenage depression and angst, confrontations with his own sexuality, drugs and the proximity and distance of the virtual world.
From these topics, numerous sketches, drawings, paintings and objects were created for the exhibition at 1.1 that merge into a complete body of work in a dense room installation. Like this, the exhibition space becomes a very personal and intimate interior space, based on the concept of an artist’s studio.
