19.-26.03.16: Zine Launch by Popup Press

Popup Press is an independent publishing house from Basel, mainly releasing zines, but also books, posters, clothing and mixtapes. Their focus lays on graffiti, youth culture, amateur photography, tattoos and related topics.
Both founders of Popup Press have a deep knowledge of underground culture and are internationally well connected, which manifests itself in their well selected collection of zines. Each one grants the reader a unique and authentic insight into this culture.
Popup Press has participated at a number of book fairs, among others I Never Read in Basel, New York Art Book Fair in New York, SPRINT in Milan and Friends With Books in Berlin, and for the first time in an artist-run space at 1.1.
The four new zines launched by Popup Press:

CORNER — FELDBERGSTRASSE 60
“What’s the charm of beer on the sidewalk?
Why go to a bar, when there are more people outside and the beer’s cheaper?
Many think like this in the cities, which is why they hang out on the street- and ‘corner’ “.

10 YEARS
In celebration of the 10 year anniversary of NOFX (friends of vandalism).

Kevin Kot
A risograph printed comic by Roland Bürki

Boy In The North
A picture zine by ZøLA, which was released accompanying his debut EP via Popup Press.

The new zines were presented and sold together with older publications and new T-Shirts.
